Nicollet Knights Booster Club

This year, more than 80 students from Nicollet Middle School have joined the Nicollet Knights Chess Team! This is the largest number of student chess players we've ever had at Nicollet.
 
The Nicollet Knights Chess Club nurtures an engaging atmosphere for beginners and experienced players to grow and develop as they learn the lessons competitive chess has to offer. Formerly Metcalf Masters Chess Club, our student players have earned 34 State championships and 24 National first place finishes over the years.  

100% of your donation goes to support the program and our chess players. Donations help offset the costs associated with the program and help the students fund their tournament costs, training costs, equipment, lessons, coaches and more.

The mission of Nicollet Knights Chess is to build character, encourage students to overcome the fear of risk taking; to teach concentration and self-discipline;  to enable students to assume responsibility for their decisions; to reward determination and perseverance; to raise self-esteem and promote good sportsmanship; and to encourage socialization skills that extend across cultures and generations.
