'Unleashing Education from Convention' is more than a slogan, it's the purpose of Minnesota's chartered public-schools!

Minnesota is the "birthplace" of the chartered public-school movement in 1991. Today, Minnesota's 181 chartered public-schools enroll over 67,000 students. Nationally there are over 7,700 chartered public-schools, enrolling over 3.6 million students in 45 states.

The MN Association of Charter Schools (MACS) Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization incorporated in 1998 to support the Minnesota's chartered public-schools and the students these schools serve. Our mission is to advocate for fair and just public policies for students, promote innovation, quality and accountability in chartered public-schools, and  promote equitable opportunities and excellence in education for students.

Your contribution will enable us to enhance:

1.) our support for innovative methods and practices by teachers, and

2.) provide leadership training for parents & teachers who serve on charter school boards of education.

The work of MACS is directed by a Board of Directors, and implemented by a four, and volunteers form our member schools who serve on committees, task forces, and working groups.

YOUR Donation will help to unleash innovation in public education and the ability of parents and teachers to fulfill their leadership roles as board members.

Thank you for your consideration.
