Your donation to Live Action Set directly supports artists and allows them to create new work for you, our audience.

Dear friends,

We ask your support of two projects in development: UNSET 2.0 and “The Poker Project.”

Our interactive dance work that began as Unset continues now as UNSET 2.0. The mission is to empower individuals through their own expressive movement, whether they consider themselves dancers or not. Each evening consists of a series of improvised dances in which a self-chosen audience member becomes co-creator of the dance in the role of "prima dancer." With UNSET 2.0, we are integrating interactive projections as a way to visually accentuate the intention behind movement for the witnessing audience. *****We need your financial support to rent projectors***** powerful enough for us to accomplish this. UNSET 2.0 will present in Austin TX in Spring, 2018, and will return to Minneapolis.

We’re embarking on our 6th immersive-theater endeavor as “The Poker Project!” To develop its interactive components, we’ve partnered with The Deep Dive, a think-tank dedicated to the advancement of interactive-narrative techniques, located in Austin, TX. In December, we will travel to Austin for an intensive week to develop the initial script. *****We need your financial support to purchase plane tickets***** to bring this team together in one place.

A donation of even $5 is significant. Each donation made to us enters our name for a chance to win a “golden ticket” of $1,000 awarded every hour! We also have a chance to win additional money prizes of up to $10,000! Our goal for this campaign is $2,000.

We aim, as always, for this project to be as lean as possible, with the primary goal of compensating our contributing artists for their time and skills: the vast majority of our budget goes to the ensemble of performers on stage, the other designers, and the small admin team behind the scenes.
