Hovland Conservatory Budding Musician Scholarship

Support your passion of music by donating to Hovland Conservatory, a nonprofit organization providing year-round private piano, violin, and voice lessons for beginning through advanced level students. Giving to Hovland Conservatory means that you are giving a child the gift of music, supporting our Budding and Needs-Based Scholarships. These scholarships help brand new families start an instrument for the very first time, or help our current families in times of financial crisis, ensuring that EVERY child has the opportunity to grow though music education.

Counter to popular belief, evidence has shown the most significant factor determining a child’s success in music is not their natural ability, but rather the age at which they begin music lessons - ideally prior to first grade. For this reason, our program is designed to begin the middle of Kindergarten. We offer our Budding Musician Scholarship which provides two months of free piano or violin instruction so that every child has the chance to try music lessons and start on time. The academic benefits gained from well delivered music training are profound.
