Hopeful Halos Foundation

Hopeful Halos raises money to support research for a cure for Angelman Syndrome, a very rare and profoundly impactful genetic condition. "Angels" suffer many many impairments. Inability to speak, sleeplessness, epilepsy, hyperactivity, constipation, sensory needs, wandering. Many angels cannot walk. All because they are missing one gene that makes one protein in the brain. But scientists are making great breakthroughs and are growing ever-closer to therapies that will help our Angels produce that missing protein.   

Despite the countless obstacles they face every day, Angels are the happiest and most joyful people you will ever meet. But without a breakthrough, they will require constant, lifelong care. Several strategies are in development to treat Angelman syndrome. Your donation will help fund all of them. 

The closer we get to a cure, the more expensive the endeavor becomes. With AS being such a rare disease, philanthropic support is our only hope to advance the research and find a cure for our Angels.
