CHANGING THE WORLD, ONE GIRL SCOUT AT A TIME

Girl Scouts are stepping up to be the change that our world needs. From making a new friend feel welcome and included to tending community gardens to provide fresh produce for the local food banks, Girl Scouts are out there making a difference in their communities every day.  They reaffirm the undeniable power of uplifting girls and empowering them to know their worth and lead in their world.  Not every triumph needs to be earth-shattering; it's about the ripple effects that resonate through communities, changing lives one act of kindness and courage at a time.

We need 300 donors to participate in our Give to the Max Day challenge to help unlock $20,000 to support GSRV’s mission. Thanks to the generosity of the Silver and Gold Friends Club, all donations will be matched 2:1 starting November 1st! That’s TRIPLE the impact!

When you back a Girl Scout, you’re planting a seed of change and making a tangible difference in the life of a child and their family. You're giving them the tools they need to tackle life head-on. Every ounce of support you extend to a Girl Scout contributes to a brighter future.

Imagine what the world would look like if every girl in our region was able to experience the inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment that Girl Scouts River Valleys offers. What would it look like if a generation of girls fully embraced becoming their unapologetic, authentic selves? How would that little voice inside of their heads speak to them differently? How would they encourage each other? How would that change their lives, change their families’ lives, and change their communities for the better?

Your support can help us get there.

 OUR IMPACT

The leadership skills kids learn through Girl Scouts have a life-long impact. It’s called the Girl Scout difference. Girl Scouts are more likely to demonstrate positive values and feel a strong sense of self, seek challenges, develop healthy relationships, achieve excellent grades, and pursue rewarding future careers. Girl Scouting is about having fun, making friends, and new experiences—yes, absolutely. But perhaps more importantly, it's about the cultivation of a whole person. From finding their voice to choosing their own path, Girl Scouts learn to lead in their own way.

 ABOUT GIRL SCOUTS RIVER VALLEYS

Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys’ work is supported by 6,500 volunteers who deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to nearly 18,000 girls in southern Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and one county in Iowa. Girl Scouts River Valleys is one of 111 Girl Scout councils that make up the national Girl Scout Movement, sharing the mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Our purpose is to boldly lead as an anti-racist organization that uplifts and empowers every girl to know their worth and lead in their world. We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Girl Scouts and their families.
