The Minnesota Medical Association Foundation (MMA Foundation) is the philanthropic arm of the MMA. We were founded more than 63 years ago and we work to advance physician-led efforts to improve health and health equity across Minnesota.
Your gift to the MMA Foundation will fund initiatives such as:
- Physician Volunteerism Program. This program connects physicians with volunteer opportunities to expand access to medical care. Your charitable donation will ensure that we have the resources needed to assist our community partners as they take care of our most vulnerable neighbors.
- Support for Medical Students. Medical students seek professional opportunities in research and clinical experiences between their first and second years. With your help, we can build on the scholarship programs that help medical students pursue and finance these experiences and continue to support the next generation of Minnesota physicians.
- Suicide Prevention Training. The pandemic has taken a heavy toll on people’s mental health and our members report their clinics and emergency departments are filling with patients concerned about suicide. Your donation to the MMA Foundation supports physician-led training in clinics across Minnesota and helps ensure our colleagues are adequately prepared for these conversations.
- Community Health & Physician Engagement Fund. Many physicians play important roles in their community’s public health initiatives. Your gift will help the MMA Foundation fund more physician-led health and health equity projects at the local level.
