Forecast Public Art

Make a gift to the Forecast Future Fund!

Forecast Public Art is looking forward…

This is a time of transformation for Forecast. With a NEW mission and vision, we have big plans to significantly impact the quality of public life in Minnesota and beyond!

This past year, Forecast brought our public art and placemaking expertise to more than 25 communities across the nation through our unique consulting services. We also supported more than 300 artists with funding and training, began piloting an innovative public art toolkit for city planners and published our most groundbreaking issue of Public Art Review to date.

As we look to 2018, we are making big plans to build upon our successes and to celebrate our 40th anniversary! Over the next few years, we will focus our energies and talents on fostering dynamic, inclusive and resilient communities through public art, community-engaged design and transformative placemaking.

Here are just some of the initiatives your support will make possible:

  • Build the next generation of public art consultants to serve communities throughout the country with skill and expertise. Our focus while doing this will be on increasing the number of people of color and indigenous people who are leaders in the field.
  • Introduce on-demand publications, including an annual Forecast trend watch, and launch a robust website with responsive resources on topics that matter—affordable housing, urban planning, racial equity, climate change, resilient communities, and more.
  • Develop a roster of artists who represent diverse backgrounds, disciplines and perspectives that cities can draw from across the country, thus fueling support for local artists.
  • Pilot new approaches to our work that we can share nationally. Already underway is our pilot partnership with the American Planning Association to create a learning tool for city planners, and our new District Arts Partnership in St. Paul, funded by Knight Foundation.

Your tax-deductible gift will allow us to keep our good work going forward. We greatly appreciate your confidence in what we do and invite your support for the wonderful year ahead.
