Cook County Kids Plus Foundation

Instilling Community Involvement and Values for Cook County Youth

Since its beginnings in 1990 as a pilot program of the Northland Foundation, KIDS PLUS was worked to increase opportunities for Cook County youth. Now, the Cook County KIDS PLUS is one of 26 KIDS PLUS organizations in northeastern Minnesota all focused on connecting local youth with community adults to help youth build important life skills.  

Cook County KIDS PLUS programs: 

• Hosts events for Cook County youth 2-3 times a year including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Halloween Carnival and MS dances. 
• Provides funding for youth enrichment programs 
• Provides funding for Tutoring
  
• Mini youth grants
• Youth leadership training 
• We are hoping to add an annual  event for the youth in Cook County in either a "Welcome Back to School" or "You Did It" carnival promoting socialization, youth interaction and just an all around fun activity for the kids.
