Angel Foundation

Help families facing cancer find moments of joy.

At Angel Foundation, we know a cancer diagnosis means more than just a struggle with one’s health. Bills skyrocket, schedules change to accommodate doctor visits and everyday life is suddenly overshadowed by fear of an uncertain future. Simple actions like filling the tank with gas, paying the light bill or just taking the kids to a movie can seem impossible. That’s why Angel Foundation is here to make sure families don’t have to face cancer alone.

“Please thank the kind person who donated tickets for the Wild game! What a memory we now have as a family together. That's the thing that matters at the end of the day: Family. Making memories with them, having fun with each other and loving each other. The moments like we had tonight help us get through this cancer journey.” --- Rochelle

At Angel Foundation, we believe adults and families facing cancer shouldn’t be forced to choose between surviving cancer and living life. The little things that make life sweet - like taking in a hockey game with the family or buying birthday presents for grandkids - often get skipped when adults don't have the financial resources, time or energy to invest. Cancer is always overwhelming, but by providing financial support for basic needs, coupled with family-friendly programming, Angel Foundation helps local families find moments of joy during an otherwise stressful time in their lives.

Our programs are 100% free of charge and make a real impact in the lives of adults with cancer and their families. Since our founding in 2001, Angel Foundation has granted nearly $8 million in financial assistance to more than 15,000 adult patients. We’ve also provided thousands of families with education, emotional support and memorable experiences. In a survey earlier this year, our participants shared:

  • 86% experienced improved emotional well-being after participating in Angel programs
  • 72% saw an improvement in their financial security after receiving financial assistance
  • 90% felt a relief of stress after receiving help, allowing them to focus on their health and family
  • 99% would recommend Angel Foundation programs to others facing cancer

29,000 Minnesotans are diagnosed with cancer every year and the need for our services continues to grow. Thanks to an $18,000 matching gift from a pool of generous donors, a gift today will go twice as far. Join our mission today and let’s work together to help adults with cancer and their families face fewer sacrifices and find more moments of joy.
