Did you know that Aitkin County is the "oldest" County in Minnesota? 

Some of our seniors struggle because they need help doing some of things that others take for granted.....things like going to the grocery store, shoveling the walk, or cooking a meal. 

CARE works with community volunteers and other senior organizations to provide these and other services.  Sometimes just a little help can make a big diference in helping people to live with a greater sense of dignity and independence. 

Often families caring for a loved one just need break!  CARE has a respite program where a trained worker is able to provide in home care to give the caregiver a break.  Memory loss support groups and educational workshops are also great sources of training and education to help families extend the time their loved one can stay at home.

CARE helps families and individuals by creating individualized care plans that can help empower and equip individuals to care for themselves or others.

CARE relies on generous individuals and community minded groups to help us continue to make our community a great place to "grow up and grow old".
