Northeast Metro 916 Education Foundation

The 916 Education Foundation is an independent not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization that enhances teaching and learning through economic support to the students, staff, programs and member districts of Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District.

The foundation raises money to augment the resources of Northeast Metro 916 for students and staff through:

• Student scholarships and recognition
• Specialized equipment
• Program development
• Program grants
• Staff development and recognition

The foundation has awarded over half a million dollars in scholarships and grants for students and teachers over the last six years. Members of the 916 Education Foundation are proud that a large number of families, businesses, organizations and Northeast Metro 916 staff contribute to the foundation's efforts.

Northeast Metro 916 is one of four Intermediate School Districts in the metropolitan area of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Its primary customer base includes 14 K-12 member districts.

As an intermediate school district, it provides more than 150 programs and services in three core areas: special education, career and technical education, and area learning centers. By partnering with member districts and schools, it is able to enhance educational opportunities for students and achieve cost efficiencies through collaboration.
