The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, are a community of women religious whose members are called to live the Gospel joyfully and to reverence the earth and all of God’s creation. In the spirit of Saints Francis and Clare, we embody a life of prayer, simple living and service to people in need. We are committed to nonviolence as we recognize the need for healing in ourselves and in our world. We seek to build communities of peace and justice wherever we are all called to serve and stand in solidarity with those who are poor and marginalized.

We are excited about this year’s Give to the Max Day. All funds raised on November 16 will be used to support our various Franciscan ministries. You might be surprised what a broad reach we have in providing service to those in need and spreading the Franciscan values.

St. Francis Music Center, a community school serving Little Falls and the surrounding rural communities, provides music lessons and a variety of enrichment programs in the performing arts. Generous financial aid ensures opportunity for all who wish to participate. This year’s GTTM donations will used to help students from low-income families take music lessons.

St. Francis Health and Wellness Center is a full-service health and fitness center offering a heated swimming pool, gymnasium, racquet ball court, yoga, weight room, circuit training, cardio-exercise equipment, personal training and massage services. Classes are offered for all ages and abilities. GTTM donations will be used for new equipment.

Franciscan Sisters lead two missions in Mexico. In San Rafael, we provide pastoral care, train missionaries and assist girls in getting a high school education. Other sisters mentor children in their faith formation and seek intentional ways to be a Franciscan presence in the lives of young people. In Ocampo, Coahuila, our newest mission, three sisters serve the needs of the parish and prepare future leaders to do the work of the church. Donations through GTTM support the missionary work of our sisters.

Our Franciscan Community Volunteers program, based on three pillars: service, community and Franciscan spirituality, places young adults in nonprofits in the St. Cloud area that serve the needs of people on the margins. Volunteers make an 11-month commitment to live in community and experience simple, gospel living in the Franciscan tradition. FCV seeks funding for spiritual retreats and education awards.

Matching funds double your donation!

Generous donors have willingly provided $25,000 in matching funds—inspiring us to set our Give to the Max fund-raising goal at $50,000. Our thanks go beyond words on behalf of those who will be served by these gifts. Thank you!
