Cook County's Historic Building Fund

Cook County's Historic Building Fund Carrie is raising money for COOK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.

Up to $20,000 MATCHING FUNDS to preserve Cook County Historical Treasures: Three Properties, Each Over 100 Years Old, NEED YOUR HELP!!

A wonderful opportunity to DOUBLE YOUR DONATION: An anonymous donor has set a challenge to raise $20,000 before the end of 2015. They will match it, and with that - $40,000 will go toward our historic building needs.
The Cook County Historical Society has three important historic properties on the National Register of Historic Places: St. Francis Xavier (Chippewa City) Church [built in 1895], the Lighthouse Keeper's Residence (History Museum) [built in 1896], and the Bally Blacksmith Shop [built in 1911].
Over the years, each of these buildings has developed structural needs that this organization is working to address. Project by project and under the guidance of the State Historic Preservation Office, CCHS is working to preserve the historical integrity of these places that represent a broad range of local history.
Please consider donating TODAY because this wonderful matching opportunity will double the impact on our ability to continue our preservation work!
Thank you.
