Augsburg University Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship
Fundraiser for Augsburg University

Augsburg University Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship Sabo Center is raising money for Augsburg University.

In our climate of divisive politics, productive public work that creates common ground is more important than ever.

The Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship is a national leader in civic engagement and the democratic purposes of higher education. Our initiatives create a culture of civic agency and engagement among students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Our programs provide life-changing learning experiences for students in real-world laboratories where they strengthen their ability to work across boundaries, solve public problems, develop civic agency, and build democracy.

  • Sabo Scholars and LEAD Fellows are prepared for careers in public service. They study public policy issues and practice community based solutions. They have gone on to work in a variety of fields, including law, education, public administration, environmental policy, and community organizing.
  • Through Public Achievement young people develop skills and identities of active citizenship through hands on public action projects.
  • At Cedar Commons students and community members build capacity through connecting and equipping leaders.
  • The Tom SenGupta Forum is a monthly public dialogue on topics ranging from the legacy of slavery to the kind of leadership our society needs today.

Please consider making a gift to the Sabo Center for Democracy and Citizenship. Thank you for Giving to the Max!
