When we get organized, hold true to our values, and set our goals high, we win. We can create a healthier planet and a brighter future for those who follow us.

Minnesotans face all kinds of challenges to our health and well-being, and Minnesota's environmental community is leading the fight to solve them. We have the plans and ideas to do so - now we need to put them into action.

The Minnesota Environmental Partnership (MEP) is the alliance that makes that community stronger. Working together with our more than 70 member groups, we're taking on these challenges to ensure a prosperous, sustainable future for all.

How we work

Our philosophy is that when Minnesotans work together for the common good, we become more than the sum of our parts. We enhance each other's efforts and speak with a united voice on issues that affect us all.

We've rallied support for key environmental programs, like Great Lakes Restoration, the Legacy Amendment, the Forever Green Initiative, and the Clean Cars rule.

We've brought the voices of ordinary Minnesotans to the halls of power through grassroots lobbying leadership, advocacy days, candidate forums, opinion polling, and action alerts.

We've helped organize the fight against environmental threats like sulfide mining and mercury pollution.

We've kept thousands of Minnesotans informed on critical issues with our website and our weekly newsletters.

And we're just getting started.

Your donation helps solve the climate crisis

MEP recognizes that climate change is the greatest threat facing Minnesota. We also know that solving it is Minnesota's greatest opportunity.

We may be 1 of 50 states, but Minnesota can swing high above our weight:

• We have the 5th-largest agricultural economy in the US, so implementing crops that absorb carbon and clean up our water will have an enormous positive impact.
• With a growing major metro area, we have enormous potential to clean up our transportation infrastructure, improve our health, and show the nation how it's done.
• Our wind and solar resources and technical know-how make us an ideal place to show that 100% clean electricity is achievable.
• Our location on the route of major pipelines means we have a chance to avert the catastrophic climate impact of continuing to prop up fossil fuels.

But to accomplish these goals we need a Minnesota government that not only listens to its people, but gives us a seat at the table. We need an invigorated environmental community that builds collective influence across the state. We need Minnesotans engaged, informed, and confident in using their power to solve the crises we face.

That's what the Minnesota Environmental Partnership is all about.
