Follow the lead of Mobility Assist Dog Tucker. Every day, he gives his human partner, Tiff, who was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, the freedom to live life on her terms. From picking up her phone when it drops to opening doors and helping with laundry, Tucker’s skills give Tiff the independence she once feared she had lost.

Recently, "Breaking Bad" star RJ Mitte visited our facility in New Hope, MN. RJ, who also has cerebral palsy, is a passionate advocate for our mission. Watch highlights of RJ's visit and his partnership with Can Do Canines for Give to the Max Day below!

Can Do Canines transforms people's lives by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with specially trained dogs.

Since 1989, Can Do Canines has provided more than 900 assistance dogs to people with disabilities, free of charge. Our fully-trained dogs, sometimes adopted from local animal shelters, are provided to clients with mobility challenges, hearing loss or deafness, seizure disorders, diabetes complicated by hypoglycemia unawareness, or children with autism. We also train facility dogs to work in places such as hospitals or with a community service provider. 

We train our assistance dogs with love and respect. Each dog is then carefully matched with a person who needs one.
