Cat Clements

Senior Fundraising Coach | she, her, hers

Cat is committed to reframing fundraising as an avenue for deeply fulfilling relationships, and helping organizations approach fundraising from a place of joy, sustainability, and abundance.

Cat joins GiveMN with a background in political campaigns and nonprofits, most recently serving as U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum’s finance director. As finance director, Cat developed deep relationships with donors of all contribution levels, established fundraising training curriculum, and helped raise more than $2 million in the campaign’s most successful fundraising cycle to date.

Cat is committed to welcoming a new generation of leaders into the fundraising space and has facilitated leadership development programs at several women’s rights organizations. She currently serves on Women Winning’s young professionals committee where she recruits and engages a growing network of young leaders. She is also a member of the Emerging Leaders Committee within the Association of Fundraising Professionals' NYC chapter.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Cat graduated from the University of Minnesota where she studied gender studies, political science, and Spanish. She wrote her senior thesis on the impact of gender, race, party, and ideology on Congressional campaign fundraising.

When she’s not coaching, Cat can be found solving crossword puzzles, playing early-2000’s pop songs on piano, and finding the best espresso in her neighborhood. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
