The Duluth Community Garden Program's mission is to cultivate healthy neighborhoods by providing access to land, resources, and community.
Our mission is simple: We are all about growing healthy food in community.
We do this by creating opportunities for anyone - regardless of experience, ability to pay, transportation or other barriers - and have been doing so for over 40 years.
Our initial vision of turning vacant lots into productive gardening has grown into 268 gardens at 20 different garden sites! Your generous gift helps to provide:-Access to land for people of all incomes
-Garden mentoring and training at garden sites
-Education programs for gardeners, the public, and youth serving agencies.
-Rain water harvesting systems, fencing, and compost systems
-Access to a tool library of gardening and food preservation tools
Examples of support:
$10 - Provides one month of water at one garden site
$30 - Provides one yard of compost
$100 - Provides a workshop given to the public or at a youth serving agency
$250 - Provides a garden plot for a low-income family
$500 - Provides materials to build a rainwater harvest system
Thank you for your support!
