Teaching Music,  Respect and Honor for over 45 Years

Ordinary Boys. Doing Extraordinary Things.

The Land of Lakes Choirboys, celebrating its 46th Season, develops fine young gentlemen through the gift of music.  We pride ourselves on our motto of “Music, Respect and Honor,” teaching boys responsibility and independence, musical skill and self-discipline, manners and appropriate behavior.  We bring boys together to celebrate the gift of music while teaching them how to work as a team and how to become gentlemen.  Our music education includes: music theory, sight-singing, ear training, harmonization, rhythm and much more.  The choirboys’ eyes are opened to the profound effect music can have in their lives and the lives of their audiences around the world.

Boys ages 6-7 are welcomed into the Prep Choir where they spend time becoming familiar with how their voice is used as an instrument.  Boys ages 8-12, by successfully completing an audition, are welcomed into the Training Choir (treble voices).  Here the boys begin the formal process of vocal training.  Based on openings in our Concert Choir (mixed voices), the boys are invited to enter this choir to develop further their musical skills.  Boys ages 14-18 make up our men's ensemble, the Ambassador Choir. These four choirs all work toward the same goal of becoming fine young gentlemen who can use the skills learned through the LOLCB to help them throughout their lives.

The Land of Lakes Choirboys devotes all of its time offering leadership development, music education and performance opportunities like none other. The organization is also a member of the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame and recognized for its contribution for keeping the arts alive for young boys in our area.
