Sister's Camelot Organic Mobile Food Share rescues healthy overstocked organic produce on the verge of expiration, and shares it on the streets of Minneapolis twice weekly, while roaming diverse neighborhoods of need in a brightly painted bus. The bus, which operates as a free mobile farmer's market, has given away millions of pounds of delicious fruits and vegetables since 1998.
Sister's Camelot has a beautiful new community garden in South Minneapolis, and also operates a full length Blue Bird Kitchen Bus, giving away healthy meals at community events such as the Annual BareBones Halloween Outdoor Puppet Extravaganza, thanks to financial support from patrons of the arts.
Volunteers meet year round on Tues and Thurs at 9:45 a.m. at the Sister's Camelot Community Garden on the corner of 36th and Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis, to board the bus before loading it up with nutritious produce from local co-op warehouses and hitting the streets.
Your financial support helps provide the food share bus with gasoline and mechanical repairs as well as the necessary insurance to operate, to make sure to prevent produce, the healthiest food of all, from going to waste. Thanks for donating today! Sister's Camelot is a 5013c non-profit, all contributions are tax deductible. Your contribution this fall 2015, will go a long way toward helping us continue our mission through the year 2016.
