Sateren Choral Music Scholarship at Augsburg College

Choral music conductor and composer Leland Sateren wrote over 400 choral works that are sung by church choirs all over the nation.The prestigious Leland B. Sateren Choral Music Scholarship is awarded annually to students who have a passion for choral music.  This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Leland "Doc" Sateren, who served as chairman of the Augsburg College Department of Music for 23 years and Director of the Augsburg Choir for 29 years.

Your contribution to the Sateren Scholarship at Augsburg College will be a lasting way to support future choral performers, conductors and composers.  Hundreds of donors have already made contributions this year in honor of what would have been Leland Sateren's 100th birthday.  Our goal for Give to the Max is to raise (at least) an additional $5,000.  Every gift is appreciated.
