November 20 marks Give to the Max Day 2025, and this year’s celebration is extra special—Lyric Arts is in its 30th Season!

For three decades, we’ve been bringing stories to life that make us laugh, cry, think, and connect. From our Main Street Stage to our classrooms, Lyric Arts has always been a place where everyone belongs.

As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re more committed than ever to making the performing arts inclusive and accessible for all. Our education programs continue to grow, offering creative opportunities for students of every background and ability to discover their voices, build confidence, and find community through theatre.

But this year, we face new challenges. Unexpected cuts to state arts funding this year mean organizations like ours are relying even more on community support to keep vital programs thriving. Every dollar you give directly sustains Lyric Arts’ ability to:

• Present outstanding live theatre productions.

• Provide scholarships and accessible education opportunities.

• Pay artists and technicians fair wages.

• Keep ticket prices affordable for everyone.

Lyric Arts’ mission is to enrich lives by creating meaningful performing arts experiences that ignite the imagination, inspire the spirit, and engage the community.

We are a growing, non-union professional theater, deeply rooted in the communities we serve, producing inclusive work that entertains, educates, stimulates, and is reflective of the diversity of our audiences and artists.

About Lyric Arts

Located in the heart of historic downtown Anoka, Lyric Arts is the only full-time, year-round theater in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis, providing access to the performing arts for tens of thousands of audience members each year—in addition to providing work for hundreds of theater artists and technicians. Lyric Arts presents nine to ten productions per season, including a unique mix of comedies, dramas, classics, musicals, and plays for young audiences. 

The company also presents a concert series, theater arts workshops, weekday matinees for school children, and educational outreach programs. We are able to fulfill our mission thanks to the support of the Minnesota State Arts Board and many generous donors and volunteers.
