Greetings from Augsburg College Communication Studies Department & Film Program!
Our students have gone on to do incredible things. They've won Emmy's, film festival awards, gone to graduate schools, worked in radio and TV, and become successful entrepreneurs —and some have traveled the globe. We have helped to launch their careers through our curriculum and experience.
While at Augsburg our studients produce films, videos, and animations. They work collaboratively, engage with the community, participate in film festivals, study abroad, take a range of production and theory classes, and investigate real-world opportunities through internships in their field.
Our major continues to grow and we want to continue to offer our students a great background in theory, technology and experiences. We need your help.
What Your Donations Support
- Guest Speakers. We'd like to launch annual symposia that involve the community and connect our students with professionals working in the field.
- LED Safe Lights. This will improve the safety of our lights, better align us with emerging standards, and help to improve energy efficiency.
- Isolation Sound Booth. We'd like to set up an isolation booth to improve and expand our audio recording capabilities.
- Dolly and Track System. This will greatly improve the technical abilities of program. We can offer new curricular lessons that will improve the production quality of the work our students create.
- Studio Ladder. We really need to improve safety and accessibility in the studio with a new studio ladder.
- Equipment Checkout Software. To improve the efficiency of our equipment room management, we'd like to get some software that can help us manage all our gear. This will also allow us to gather data on equipment usage.
