Dodge Nature Center and Preschool

At Dodge, nature is for everyone.

We’re raising funds to ensure cost is never a barrier to participation in our programs. We want to spread the joy we feel every time we step into our 460 acres of native habitat and working farms right here in the Twin Cities. Simple moments in nature reduce stress, improve health, and boost academic outcomes.

Please donate to our financial assistance fund, so children and the young at heart can benefit from our nature-based education, even if they’re pinching pennies.

$25 delivers Girls Explore Science

This program engages school aged girls with environmental STEM topics.

$75 gives an Outdoor Learning Day

For an elementary student at the nature center exploring ponds, forests, and prairies.

$150 sends a toddler to Nature Tots

6-sessions of guided outdoor exploration for parents and toddlers to learn healthy nature-based developmental strategies.

$250 covers a preschooler's monthly partial scholarship

This time of year they’re harvesting and cooking apples from the farm to develop skills in collaboration, listening, and following directions.

$250 sends Dodge’s farm animals (and naturalists!) to a senior living facility

Seniors in memory care love when our Hens & Roosters program goes on the road. The opportunity to hold a chicken has been known to trigger long-dormant memories in those struggling with dementia.

$500 supports 3 classroom field trips

Elementary school students learn about the importance of agriculture and the production of food while visiting one of our two working farms. Students will observe various farm animals as they explore the barn, poultry pens, apiary, and pastures.

Too many people are being squeezed from every angle. With your help funding our financial assistance, everyone will have a chance to join our fun and interactive environmental programs.

Donate today to keep nature priceless!

Dodge Nature Center and Preschool's mission is to provide exceptional experiences in nature through environmental education.

We steward 460 acres in West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, and Cottage Grove featuring native habitats and working farms. We're proud to bring the wonders of nature to our beloved Twin Cities community through nature-based field trips, after school programs, public events, camps, a preschool, and beautiful trails and parklands to explore.

We would welcome you any day of the year!
