For a number of years, the Kingfield Neighborhood Association (KFNA) has recruited volunteer crossing guards on Election Day to help neighbors safely cross Nicollet Ave. at 41st Street.
Previously, KFNA has borrowed a reflective stop sign from a neighbor who has led the Lyndale Walking School Bus, and unfortunately, while it’s reflective, it’s not illuminated, and that puts our volunteers at risk during the early morning and evening hours.
Our neighbors LOVE having that friendly crossing guard to help keep them safe—and we love it when our neighbors bike and walk to MLK Park!
Please help KFNA purchase an illuminated stop paddle so our volunteer crossing guards can be HIGH VISIBILITY every time Kingfield votes.
Any funds raised over $250 will be used for new tents for KFNA’s traditional Polling Party and consumables for Get Out the Vote efforts.
